Book Drives

This holiday season, Friends School families are sharing gifts that support families in meeting their kids’ needs, in partnership with The Center for Restorative Change through the University of Maryland’s School of Social Work. We are excited about this hands-on opportunity to live out the Friends values of community, equality, and stewardship as we partner with families in Baltimore.

We invite you to choose one (or more!) of these books, which will be given to a family who is part of the Center's Family Connections program.  A Community Giving Tree and donation box will be set up in the Middle School lobby and the Upper School lobby through December 16. 

You can buy the books online via this registry or you can purchase them in store at Snug Books, 4717 Harford Road. Snug Books will donate 10% of profits from in store Giving Tree purchases to the Center for Restorative Change.

Asylee Women Enterprise (AWE) is a nonprofit in Baltimore that journeys with asylum seekers, survivors of human trafficking, and other forced migrants as they navigate the immigration legal process and rebuild their lives in Maryland. 

Every year, AWE distributes holiday gifts to every client enrolled in their services. They rely on donations to do this. Please consider donating a book this holiday season to support their efforts.
